Apam Balik

Oh look.. we made our own Apam balik. Feroz got this instant mix and it was too easy! It vanishes in minutes at my mom's place...

My aim is to buy the proper pan and re-create my fav Martabak Manis! Woo hoo

I only survive 1.5km ans supposedly burn 90 calories but ate a whole lot more at lunch.. wahahah

Finally managed to whip up a batch of Macarons with dark chocolate ganache. It's not perfect but looks and taste heavenly...!
Made it with my baby beilling too. An oven without fan.. ha!

To the Zoo

Taking advantage of corporate membership. We went to the Zoo after the gurls finish their madrasah lessons at noon. We soak in the waterplay and had an easy walk at the zoo. Thank Allah for the cooling weather..! SubahanaLLah

Elisya turns 8

My sweet Elisya is an honest and obedient girl. Eager for school and does well in her studies. Ummie and Abah loves you and wish you well in your endeavours. InShaaAllah.

Red Velvet Cupcakes with toppers

This is the second time I have a dozen of Red Velvet cuppiez as housewarming gift. This time I made cake toppers too
It was for Sunny Singh a colleague whom I couldn't attend his invite to his new home.

Family

The usual get together when Isham is in town. I made custard tarts, Suji bubur (this was a big hit) and Nutella fudge.

Ummi cooked Nasi Bohari instead of the usualnasi minyak. The regular epok-epok sayur is definitely served that day..

Uneven cupcakes

Look at the uneven cupcakes after baking. Simply due to the cupcake pan that has a slightly smaller base than the liner. Therefore the liners does not rest nicely in the cups of the pan. With that we can see the result of cupcakes that don't look very pretty... SubahanaLLah the wonders of science!

It was a mania of jars, cakes and cream galore. I took leave to help ChefNor meet a corporate order. I assemble the layered cakes in the jar. I was working way too slow and could not finish my work even when it's way past midnight. I wish I was a bigger help but I am just a slow coach.

The salted caramel was my favorite and simply in love with it's taste. I wish I can whip up one now!!

Crispy Fried Stuffed Tao Pok

Crazy crispy and remain that way even it's cold. This small puff Tao Pok stuffed with fish paste, carrots and green onion. Original recipe calls for water chestnut for that added sweet crunch.. I didn't even have apple to substitute.. but it still taste great. Serve with chilli sauce and mayonaise.

She lost another lower front tooth. While biting an apple, it turned into a bloody mess and still holding on. So I pull it off with her whining like a chicken..

As I take a memoir photo, Shysta insisted I took her picture too. So we can see all 3 gurls with their teeth profile..
